Restart SampleWS Service

Manually terminate and re-execute the required service using Services tool.

For Windows 10:

1. In the Search Box on Taskbar, type “services.msc” and open Services tool.


2. Scroll down; right click “SampleWS” service; choose Properties option.


3. Stop and restart the service.

For Windows 8.1/ 8/ 7/ Vista:

1. Use Windows Key + R key combinations and then type “services.msc” and click OK.

2. Refer Steps # 2-3 under Windows 10 section.

Change Registry Settings

Some serious problems with your computer Registry can also cause error 1053. Change values related to ServicesPipeTimeout as shown below:

For Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8/ 7/ Vista:

1. Open Registry Editor using “RegEdit” command in Run dialog.


2. Locate below sub key:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control

3. Double click “ServicesPipeTimeout” and replace its value with “180000” (without quotes).


4. Click OK.

5. Quit the tool; restart your PC.

Update Microsoft .NET Framework

Error 1053 appears due to outdated version of Microsoft .NET Framework. Download the latest version from Microsoft Download Center.

Restart Print Spooler

It may be possible that the Print Spooler service isn’t running properly. Use the following command-line instructions to restart it again.

For Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8/ 7/ Vista:

1. Open Command Prompt as administrator.


2. Execute below command:

  • sc config spooler depend= RPCSS

3. Press ENTER.
